The Neighbor to Neighbor program connects clients in need with trained volunteers to various destinations including, but not limited to medical appointments, grocery shopping, religous services, pharmacy, and/or other areas of the community.
Clients are matched up to a volunteer in/near their own neighborhood for transportation. We do ask for a three days notice for the transport. The volunteer may choose not to accept the assignment, and we only ask for a minimum of just two rides a month.
Grace Ministries, a non-profit organization based in faith, is dedicated to promoting access to resources and programs for independent living.
Grace Ministries’ mission is to connect volunteers, community professionals, and funders in designing, developing, and implementing programs that impact the independent living needs of our adult community.
Statement of Purpose:
Neighbor to Neighbor, a program of Grace Ministries (“N2N”), inspires in us the desire to help our fellow Neighbor who is homebound due to age, disability, or chronic illness in Horry and Georgetown counties.
In the spirit of unselfish love, N2N uses innovative technology and best practices in connecting adults in need with qualified and trained volunteers who provide services, such as transportation to medical appointments and? other life enhancing destinations, to promote and maintain independent living.
